The Tale of the Two Wolves.

The Tale of the Two Wolves.

It will take you less than a minute to read it, but you’ll remember it for the rest of your life. May it be your guide when you most need it!
Read it carefully, then take a moment to analyze your reality, thinking about your choices and how to walk a happier and more prosperous path..
In our daily lives, we are presented with countless situations, good and bad, easy and difficult, complex and simple, and how we choose to act in these situations is an expression of our character and helps determine what life we lead.

The Tale of the two Wolves, invites us all to reflect on a very important issue: the things we choose to nurture in our lives.
This tale conveys the wisdom of the Indians and portrays the story of an old Cherokee elder who taught his grandson a very valuable lesson that would accompany him throughout the rest of his life.

The Tale of the Two Wolves…
One star filled night, the Cherokee elder sat in the open sky and invited his grandson and the other children in the village to join him. The elder was one of the wisest people in the village and often told stories and gave great advice on life.

He brought his grandson and the other children near the fire, in the middle of the village and started telling them a story:
You know my grandson, all of us, have two wolves inside us. These wolves are constantly fighting, a terrible fight. The same battle is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.

Two wolves, how does this work? – asked the little Indian grandson innocently.
We all have within us two completely different wolves. One of them is a black wolf, representing all the Evil we have, the bad feelings that can exist in a human being: anger, envy, jealousy, greed, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, sorrow, regret, resentment, fears, self-pitty, guilt, arrogance and ego.

However, the other wolf is exactly the opposite. It is a white wolf, representing all the Good we have in a person: peace, love, hope, joy, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
Most of the time, the two wolves live separately, but sometimes they come close to each other and the battle will begins.

The grandson thought about this for a minute and then asked: “Grandfather, and which of the two wolves is stronger? Which wolf wins the fight?”
The old Cherokee elder replied: “The one you feed! And that my little one, depends on each one of us.”

You see, it is all about which wolf you will feed. What kind of seed you plant. When planting a seed from a Tomato, we don’t wait to grow a Potato. Same with your thoughts.

May the seed of your thoughts be good, and a good outcome will come. May the seed of your thoughts be evil, and a bad outcome will happen. The hard part is having the courage, the bravery, the persistence, and the willingness to do so. Happiness is a choice!

Be wise and choose which wolf you feed, in any circumstance, in any disagreement, in any decision you take. A really important reflection is knowing which of the wolves we are feeding. It can help us understand why our lives are going a certain way, and help us live with more purpose and meaning.

May all of us, be wise and brave to choose the white wolf!
